Has anyone here ever installed the factory pre-painted fitted mudguards on an F50? I've seen member pics of them with mudguards, but don't know if they were factory installed or done prior to or after delivery.

My question is are they installed using existing wheelwell screws, or do additional holes have to be drilled?

I'm having them installed on my '05 Q45 to protect the rocker panels and rear bumper from damage caused by the heavy amount of grit and stones on pavement here in Phoenix. I don't want new holes drilled on the inside of the fenders, leaving exposed metal to rust and corrode.Yes, we do get water in Phoenix, and I don't want my fenders to rust out because corrosion starts where it can't be seen until it's too late.

I have to let the dealer do it if new holes have to be drilled because I'm no longer able to do that kind of work myself like I used to . In that case, I'll have to make sure the dealer coats and seals the new holes.

OTOH, if they use existing screw holes, I CAN use a stubby screwdriver or sockets to install them myself without pulling the wheels and save around $260 for labor.

Anyone?
