Dang, that's quite an endeavor. I'm relatively new too but I would think that since it's Nissan factory software, you would have to go to a dealership to see if they have a solution for that. There may be an English language option already in there, I don't know. Find someone who can read Japanese, maybe?

Your F50 dash looks almost identical to my '02 Q45. These are the steps to change the language on mine.

In the center is a three button group. Push the button on the left side.
Use the joy stick to move to the bottom option, and then press the joystick in.
When the second menu list comes up, Use the joystick to move to the bottom option, and press the joystick in.

This should display you language options and units of measures.

Certainly wouldn't hurt to try.

I downloaded the 2002 infiniti q45 manual and noticed that language option. Unfortunatly the menus are not layed out the same and even after going through all of them i cant find a language/english option. Think i will go to nissan and see if they can sort something, although they'll prob wont be bothered wanting to help. Most of the options you can work out what they do but there is a couple of things im not sure about. Wonder if the q45 software could be loaded on a f50???

I think you have a hardware and software issues trying to get english as they were designed for the JDM buyers. The screen you have is bigger than the 7" that the USM has which is why it pops up, and also you have the DVD player right below the control panel where the USM Q45 has the clock.
