For any knowledgeable experts on here such as FalkDesigns, mods, etc....

After carefully surveying my car today I noticed one of the headlights has a gap where it connects to the bumper....so basically it looks as if the headlight was not welded tight enough to the bumper and you can slide maybe something as wide as a ink pen under the headlight. Now, the drivers side front of the headlight has no gap because it looks like it was welded tightly together (as it should). Now when I take it back to the Infiniti dealer do you think they will rectify the problem?? or will they tell me not to worry about it, saying its really not a problem just to passify me and send me on my way. At least my car is under full warranty so I just hope they can get the headlight to be correctly fitted in place so no gap sits between the bumper and headlight. Anyone else have this problem or notice it on any 2k2 or newer Q's.

Thanks for your help guys...

Bruce

I thought about that too.... It's a 2005 prior rental with a rental company with 18k miles. No reported reports to carfax. What should i do? Also on front of the bumper looks like part of the paint is chipping away slightly.

someone at some point in time has bumped into something with the front bumper, and has knocked it a little out of alignment. It might not have even been a big accident.. coulda been something as simple as a love tap during some poor parallel parking.

Have a reputable body shop inspect the thickness of the paint and compare it to factory specifications. Make sure they check all the panels of the car.

This should reveal whether any paintwork was done on the car. If there has....you should have one hell of day at the dealership.

If you can, take a picture of your headlights so other F50 owners can see exactly what you are talking about. From your post, it does seem like something is "rotten in Denmark"....
