F50 Headlight is out, replaced the bulb, but still no good.

nope, no noobie sabatoge here. I only swapped out the bulb. I am thinking the ballast is bad, which has a nice $342 price tag at the dealer...

Try swapping the bulbs. If the new one works, then ballast would be prime suspect once the connections are verified.

IM HAVING THE SAME type problem , My Left side front light will not moe on.You are saying that there is a ballast for both sides L & R. And where are the ballasts located. Thanks.

Very near the headlights. Evident in FSM, or just trace the low beam wiring from the bulb.

its a ballast...just did one yesterday

they are located under the headlight assembly. like bolted to the bottom of the headlight...if u need help doin it let me know

right low beam is out.i checked the fuse first as per fsm.fuse was blown.put in new fuseblew it. 02 q45 soprtleft side is fine

ballast is shorting system...replace the ballast...its gonna be expensive but that is your problem
