I want to set my headlight up a little higher. When I bought my 2005 Q45 used, the manuals were missing, and the only owner's manual the dealer had was from a 2004. It shows a control on the dash to lower the headight aiming for when a heavy load is in the back. My 2005 does not have this control, the opening is blanked off with a cover.
In reading the FSM, it only says to use the adjustment screws to re-aim the headlights, but doesn't say how to access them at all, or which direction raises or lowers them. How do I get to the adjusting screws?
Further on in the FSM, it refers to an automatic headlight raising/lowering system that adjusts the headlights with electric motors for the attitude of the car. It doesn't indicate whether this is standard or an option.
How do I determine if my car has this system?
If it does have it, will it automatically re-set the height after I manually re-adjust the beams?
Thanks.
