I was walking across the street yesterday and saw a black Buick Lucerne head on. At first glance, I thought it was an updated F50

Then I figured out it wasn't and decided to watch it go by me to catch a view of the entire car. I will say that the side profile of the new Lucerne is somewhat similar to the F50.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I hope nobody mistakes my F50 for a Buick!

Just my two cents...

Haha, it's rear reminded me of VW Phaeton with the headlamp of STI.

The rear of the Lucerne also reminds me of the new Passat...

Nice looking Buick, but it's still a Buick...

I saw an ad for it the other day and couldn't help thinking that it's pretty good looking. The profile is great. Plus, it's about damned time someone started using heated washer fluid!

Never really thought of that before, but now that you mention it...you're absolutely right. The C-pillar and rear doors/windows are strongly reminiscent of earlier current-model LeSabres (before they got that stupid exaggerated pinchy rising curve on their shoulders).

Jesda: that thing is HIDEOUS! It looks like Hyundai has looked back over the last ten years of Corolla and Jetta designs and combined the worst aspects of them both in one nasty little pig-beast. Plus the wheels are terrible...why even bother with alloys if you're going to make them look like poorly fitted, too-small plastic hubcaps? And what is the deal with the plastic side molding!? It's HUGE, and higher than PeeWee Herman's beltline! The koreans continue to baffle me.
