When my compressor kicks on it sounds like the motors knocking.. like hammers inside the compressor.. then when it kicks back off everything sounds normal. It will only kick on at idle. If I increase the rpms at all it cuts off. So, compressor? If so, how much you guys think to get it replaced? Can a compressor be gotten anymore by Infiniti? They can't get a bulb I need for the drivers door.. (discontinued)...

A slight knock is normal for some variable displacement compressors... certainly normal on the older Q. Hard to say without actually hearing it.
