Hey guys, I’ve read about everything I can on the Transmissions in the F50’s- I have only seen anything about learning on the transmission’s part on the Q.. this transmission been used a lot across the Nissan line. However, I can not find anything out as to how the transmission knows what it’s in, the Q or the Titan, or the Z or the Xterra.. all of those using the same transmission. Ultimately what I wanted to know is does the “sport” switch for the suspension tie into the transmission at all and in effect give us a sportier shift pattern/hold pattern? Also, if it’s something like the TCU that tells it which vehicle it’s in, could I swap for the Z’s TCU for different shifts/Kickdowns? Or would the weight difference cause premature wear with the wrong TCU pattern ?
