Never owned a truck. Always heard Ford 150 was the best. I like the looks and specs on the Titan. I intend to buy the 4 door, short bed with a V8. Not using for work. Using as road car. I need the room and my Q70 is too good to beat up. What's the consensus?

Are we talking new or used? Either way, I'd keep it in the family if it's between that and a Ford. I'm not the most objective guy to ask when it comes to FoMoCo though... I had a huge warranty dispute with them years ago, and vowed never to give them another dime.

I am a Ford guy. My grandfather built engine parts at the Cleveland Engine Plant foundry for decades. I think their latest offerings are all pretty good. Their EcoBoost engines have a cult following, getting great efficiency and great performance on 87 octane gas. Build quality is on par with any other major brands aside from the luxury brands.

My mom just bought a 2016 Ford Explorer last month with the 3.0L TT EcoBoost. It is a freakin tank and pulls very hard despite being a heavy beast.

If you're into modding/tuning, Fords are second to none when it comes to aftermarket parts and the ease of tuning (SCT tuners are the best, but get a dyno or email tune from a reputable tuner...the preloaded tunes from SCT are junk).
