I only ask because I have 2 listings for 110amp alternators, the 200-2001 and 2001-2003. Ones cheap and ones 3 times as much.

I have a Quest Alt and I did exactly what you did.

I don't know why every one freaks out about it. I did have the clearance the alt case so the stock bolt and spacer would fit but its really easy.

BTW, The Qx4 uses a VG33E, just like the quest, So its most likely the same alt any way :P

Ok , i just finished the alternator .

It charges at 14.9 -15.0 volts and my HID's never looked so bright .

As far as getting it bolted down , I just took out the tention braket , cut off the top bolt hole 1/4" from hole . made a hole by eye about 1/4" from edge of where i cut top hole . Put braket on bottom water pump bolt < angled it down and ran the same STOCK setup to tention it. Same belt and all!!!!!!!

Im not so sure on how much amp the alt has but definately an upgrade.

Nice work!

Pet peeve: TENSION, not tention. The "TENSION" bracket keeps the alternator TENSE.

I see people do this with SUSPENTION, and TRANSMITION... Getting it right helps others who are searching for info find what they need.
