I would have to agree. But most importantly find a new set of friends, ones that will give you good sound advice, and also try and create a better relationship with people before you start doing business with them.driftin8ez wrote:I would say stick with it, as you said you have alot invested why take such a big hit. What car are you going to drive next. Some suck *** fwd piece of ****? You know deep down your going to start to do the same thing to your next car so why not just stick with this one. It's hard to find a mint 240 now and days and yours seems pretty mint and low mileage. You think all of us tuners have fat savings accounts to fall back on. Most of us don't and every dime goes into our cars. It's an addiction but i think a justifiably good one. Just take a deep breath don the nike's for a week or two save up for a new turbo and boost into the sunset... You wont regret it. The only thing that i can see very discouraging is having to pay for a shop each time something major breaks. I just swapped out my turbo the other day. Its not that hard and im sure you have smaller hands than me which probably come in handy alot. (Pun Intended)
you need booted in the *** to get the motivation to GET THAT CA GOIN BIATCH!!!!!Sil40sK wrote:I feel your pain. I got my CA swap over 2 years ago and I still haven't gotten it out on the road (school and work suck up all my time; after going to school for cars, then going to a dealer to work on cars, by the time I get home I'm not really in the mood to go work on another car). Everyone I know is telling me to get rid of it, and I have virtually every penny I've earned in the past 2 years put into it. Not to mention the labor of the swap, wiring, welding, etc. But you can't give up. It gets discouraging at times, believe me, but you have to realise how badass it will be when it's all finished. My advice to you is just don't think about it for a while and save up money for a new turbo, then go back to it and I guarentee you'll be in love with it again and won't want to sell it anymore. If you are still going to sell it then best of luck to you.
