f*** off JW Marriott. I got drunk in your expensive a** hotel with piss poor internet access and then you want to charge me $7 for 15 minutes of use?!

You could at least give me a reach around. Suck a big giant dildo and ram it up your a**.

Do a charge back. Tell the credit card company you're disputing the charge. They'll send a notice to the hotel and charge them a $25 fee for processing the claim. If the CC company sides with the hotel, the hotel is still out the $25. If you used Amex, all the better, as Amex almost always sides with the the cardholder (one of the reasons some business won't take Amex).

They didn't screw me per say (aside from not getting on the Internet).
I went up to the business center where internet is typically free and was greeted with a fare structure on the damned business center computer which, so far in my years of travel, is a first. I didn't buy and instead swore a lot and pounded my beer.

Then I ranted and got more beer and practiced for this weekend at Carlisle.

LOL. Wow, sounds like Marriott is getting petty like the airlines, next thing you know they'll start charging for the mini shampoos I steal.

Even worse... they wanted to block people from bringing their own WiFi hotspots!

$30/night Motel 6 provides free Wifi, but expensive Mariott Suites charges out the a** for '90s-slow wifi. This is broken.

I stayed at a Mariott Suites all week last week. I had strong signal for my fast, unlimited T-mobile data. Just like EVERYONE has mobile data these days. Guess who didn't even think about paying for the asininically priced and ridiculously slow wifi. One guess. EVERYONE AT THE HOTEL. It's 2015. Nobody doesn't have mobile data. You can't charge for wifi. If you do, one of three things will happen: nobody will pay for it, nobody will pay for it, or nobody will pay for it. I guess in rare cases nobody might pay for it, too, but you get the idea.

I keep my phone handy and use PDANet to tether it to my Thinkpad through USB. Screw these greedy hotels.
