They just passed this stupid, friggin emissions crap in the county I live in, in North Carolina.

Were getting as bad as California. Air Nazi's!!! AAAAHHHHH!

$30 a pop starting July 1st. The only good news is that it only affects 96 and newer models. I am selling my truck! (97 model) And buying an S13. Screw it. If they are gonna screw me over, I might as well have the car and mod the hell out of it.

Sorry for the rant, but this stuff pisses me off! I wonder If this will be enforced on motorcycles, too??????????

write your congressmen!! if this continues, we could end up chopping perfectly good cars in half because of their age and shipping the pieces overseas for a profit. I'm serious.

30$ a pop to test it? seems here that if you fail the test its free if you pass 20$ please, kinda think it should be the other way around ? and then if you fail three times all you have to do is show them recpeits of repairs for around 300$ and if you still fail they just let you go ahead and get your registration anyway! seems to me like gov taking advantage of the enviromentalist to make a quick buck!!!!! i mean if you want to curb polution you have to goto the source not penalize the consumer of a known polluting product, its freakin ludicrious to me !! thats why i registerd my car in a county that has no emissions standards , im not making uncle sam rich just to show him my car that was built to a certian standard is still putting out that standard!!

stupid stupid stupid politicians!!!!!

I am gonna be really pissed if this effect my motorcycle. I am not about to change my D&D exhaust.

Yeah, I think I am gonna sell my Tacomma. At the end of the summer I am gonna sell my bike, and get an s13 and either turbo or SR that SOB. I can use there stupid little laws against them. It isn't cars that is making the polution around here anyway. It is all the mills. Go to the next town over and you get a buzz like you wont belive from the furniture plant spraying varnish.

I just dont get this.

$30 is cheap. In PA, the emissions test is twice that and it applies to all years.

I live in PA, but I'm fortunate to live in an area that does not have emissions testing. I dread the day they start it where I live.

I am also in PA.. No emissions here.. YET.. but i got bad news for you. Its going state-wide in 2004. My only hope is that its for 1994 and up.
