can anyone tell me what this does? Its on the throttle body I'm guessing on the IACV. It looks like a thick Hex bit, with a two pronged wire coming off. Ive seen some peoples engine bay pics that looks like its blocked off by a bolt. I just wanna know what it does, the wire connector on mine was broken off when i got it. Although the wires look pretty easy to just resolder.

Idle-up solenoid for when the A/C system is engaged.

I think you mean off the intake manifold, not throttle body. But anyway, there are two plugs on that unit that comes off. The plug closest to the intake manifold (plug faces the firewall) is your idle air control unit. Let's the ECU control the idle of the car. The plug on the end of the unit that faces the valve cover is for your A/C. When you turn your air conditioning on, it activates that sensor which bumps up your idle to compensate for the additional load on the engine. If you aren't running A/C, you don't need to hook it up.

EDIT- Damn it.... Dee beat me to it.

I have my OEM one still on my motor. let me see if I can block it off, and you can have mine for shipping. I pulled my a/c off when i did my swap. It is te best way from keeping my gf from wanting to take my car (and use my gas) when we go places
