Man am I an idiot. I took the vert to the beach and I got stuck in the sand. Then when I was towed out of the sand *not only did I scratch up the sides of my nissan rims* but I also f***ed up my tie rods... GRRR!!!!

Guess what I will be doing tomorrow...

On a side note...

My father has a 92 GMC Conversion van... His battery is being drained so he has decided to unhook the battery and it seemed to solve the issue. Obviously, he never found out what was draining the battery. Anyway, he was driving home yesterday and while driving his van turned off... He also noticed that the power antenna wouldn't stop going up and down.

Could you help me find a gmc site mechanic or maybe you know enough about cars to help me with this? I know it doesn't go into the vert forum but I've tried looking up forums regarding this issue and for the last hour or so I haven't been fortunate enough to find it. Too many websites promoting the end to gmc or gmc dealerships or some weird other crap going on.

i dont know what to tell you on the van but i would get a voltage meter on the battery and alternator, then look around for any cut wires or something

Sounds like bad alternator to me. Alternator is the one that's powering the spark plugs and stuff when engine is running, not a battery.

gm van sounds like a ground somewhere. The antenna issue is seperate. Probably a faulty antenna motor. My Bonneville antenna did the same thing when it went out so I just disconnected it while in the up position. Anyhow GL fixing both the vehicles.
