I've been thinking about getting carbon fiber eye lids for a while now and well I can't get to a definitive yes or no. So I'm asking you guys should I get some?

Yeah, smoked in my opinion looks best. Eye lids just look plain tacky... but to each his own.

im not hating coz i know alot of people already has this..but honestly, having the eye lids makes the altima look like it has droopy eye or lazy eyes.. i don't know...im still looking forward for the projector thing that grystrm is cooking up...

Personally, I don't like those or taillight overlays.

Do what you think looks nice. You can always take them off if you don't like them right? Or are they permanently attached?

I think the eyelids make the front end of the car look as aggresive as the back end. I saw them on LBC's car in person on friday, and I have to admit, it looks real good. Because he did his in fiberglass instead of a vinyl overlay, it's also super-shiny and blends in completely with his super black paint for the rest of the car.

I personally am prolly going to do the same for my car eventually, but wanna do some other mods first.

i actually got the bluebat vinyl eyelids for my car, but when they arrived i was too lazy to put them on and theyve just been sitting in my room for the past few months. now im thinking about getting the fiberglass ones because after looking att them more i think they look better, plus it sounds like an easy install.

You must have better taste than that...Looks like a kiddie mod. Like fender vents.

Fender vents I can understand the lameness. But angry looking eyes don't look like a kiddie mod IMO. these are carbon fiber with real shinny paint on them. Kiddie mod = things you can find in the pepshops.

Id say yes. I like LBC's a lot, the painted fiber glass, not the vinyl.

You seem to dig 'em and seem to have made up your mind so, cool. I'm just a boob on a forum. Sorry if you were offended. (but I still vote no.)

I think the lids look wierd...not necessarily bad...just wierd.

If I wanted to go to the trouble I'd definately smok'em over lids.

I mean...I like the shape of the lights with the lids...definately meanerlooking, but I don't like the look of...."Look at the pretty stickers I put on my headlights." That's just how it comes off to me.

If they looked more attached to the hood I think I'd like it.

I say no, and don't get tints on the headlights, they look ugly as hell.

If you wanna make the headlights look better black them out with projectors and angel eyes.

Well...I'm one of those utterly useless "undecided" voters as I'm having the same quandary as yourself...except I'm stuck between eyelids and the GTR overlays like Rob has... If only I could see them both in person!!!

Here's my question to you...why do them in carbon fiber if you're just going to paint over them? Wouldn't fiberglass or urethane be the cheaper option in that case? That being said, I'm something of a cf-whore so I think it's sacrilege to paint over a gorgeous 2X2 weave... *sigh*

I asked myself the same question - in this case the CF wouldn't be saving weight - so why use it at all if it is to be painted.
