Im looking at taking out the amber part but i already have my eyelids on and ive heard you have to bake the headlight. Now seeing as the eyelids are held on by somekind on adhesive would that not come of or the paint on the eyelid burn during the baking process. Any ideas?

hmmms, not to sure about that one, since its a vinyl i doubt it'll be able to withstand the heat, of course there is always the option of opening the headlights by using a heatgun.

By using the heatgun method your able to avoid baking the headlight and only direct the heat towards the intended area. TO use the heatgun, heat up one spot of the headlight and wait until you see a shiny/gloss color i think and begin prying, take you time with this otherwise you can burn the headlight.

If that doesnt help, try emailing bluebat or the seller that you got the eyelids from and ask what the temperature limit is on the vinyl.

And if you opt to do the oven bake, i suggest using a wet towel underneath the headlight to prevent any place melting onto the oven, and bake it at 205 degrees for about 10 mins, and work quickly to pry it open using a flathead screw driver and a wide flat tool as well.

if it gets to hard to open again, just pop it back in the oven for another 5-10mins and keep on prying, so just be patient and also i think u might need to buy the nisssan butyl sealant to reseal it.

hope some of my suggestion helps.

The paint started to peel on the fiberglass eyelids. So i took it back to the shop to have hem re-shoot it. They wanted to take them off. So the mechanic started to just gently work it off. It was in the morning so it was on tight! He cracked it, but it was repairable. They fixed it and replaced the adhesive.

Doing it on a very hot day in the sun makes it a lot easier. They tryed a heat gun but held it like 1-2 feet away and did quick swipes. They really did not want to damage anything with the heat gun.

Eventually it came off and it looks good as new!

It is possible to get off just be careful and try doing it in the sun! Remember, a small crack can be fixed but try not to brake it ><

Yah, i would have to go back and ask. Not sure exactly what kind of double side adhesive he used. But 2-3 strokes from a heat gun held about 1-2 feet away. Came off ok. I also head use olive oil or some weird thing like that helps (havent tried it).

thanks for the advice, ill probably try that considering i just found out theres a small crack in one of the eyelids from a rock or something, i really wanna black out the headlights which is the reason for taking the eyelids off and i could throw some projectors in there while im at it
