Hey Guys,

Big thanks to Freddie & Mike for hooking me up with a sweet set of eyelids. I'm all about clean, subtle mods and this one is great.

I went to Sherwin Williams Automotive and had a buddy mix up the exact paint to match the M (K23) Liquid Platinum Metallic. I was a little worried because he put in a spray can, but he assured me that if I used it with the primer and clearcoat he recommended it would look OEM. Needless to say he was right. The paint matched perfectly and I had a little extra so I decided to paint a piece of the engine cover as well.

Oh yeah, I also threw in my Injen CAI since I was there.

What do yall think?

Don't wanna hate on yo parade...but can someone, anyone, explain to me the point/purpose of eye lids? This is one of those mods that I never quite understood. Is there a use for them?

Nice engine cover though. Very nice.

The eyelids are for looks only they cover the top part of the headlight in order to make them look smaller. It gives it a somewhat more aggressive look to the front end. Nothing crazy, still looks clean.

Se@ttleM35s
you should post a front shot with both headlights.

I'm sure others will post pics soon.

Thanks for the comments guys.

It's cool if you like them, and if you don't that's cool too! It really is about what you prefer and what you want your ride too look like because it represents you, ya know. :)

Here's some pix of the front:

My design is somewhat like that but not that aggressive.

I just can't get them made locally, even if I could I would need an extra set of headlights. :frown:

maybe in black & white but I'm sure most other colors won't match.

what's even worst is that our headlights have a plastic lens, you have to cut the vinyl on the lens which means you'll be cutting in to the plastic. :ohno:

yeah lots of colors will be hard to match and for cutting it just make a template on the car to cut the vinyl in the right shape without cutting it on the lense. I think using vinyl may allow a cheaper version and a DIY way to get eyelids....if you can match the color of your car.
