As sexy as tubular exhaust manifolds are, I'd rather never worry about cracking or thermal stress. I'd also like to stick with the available selection of downpipes.

As such, I'm considering having my stock cast manifold extrude honed and gasket-matched, and eventually swain coated. Do you think this is worthwhile?

I ask because extrude hone will do a group rate if we can get together six or more people. They normally charge 425 for the process and another 80 for the gasket matching. If there's interest I'll inquire about what sort of pricing we'd get as a group, and set up the deal and take care of getting the manifolds to/from them if people want to go through with it.

Wish I could but I have no money... Besides I also just got my CA18 and have basic stuff I need to buy first.

I'd sooner buy a quality manifold than try to improve the stock piece. You're already spending enough, get something loads better.

i have used our only local extrude hone dude here in australiagreat gains to be made :)
