You're probably having a problem with the variation of glutamate being used for flavor, but most of any major food product in the US will have it- including the dressing on your salad and trace amounts in your cola.
That being said, if you're not having any problems with things like sugar substitutes, processed foods, snack foods, or eating out in other restaurants its unlikely that the culprit of your headache is McDonald's (given that they do use it).
Since this probably isn't the case, I suggest you turn your attention to something as simple as dehydration- which could have amplified the effects of MSG, OR to having another food allergy. McDonald's uses 7/8 (if not 8/8) of the big food allergies. Start keeping a food record and mark the days that you got symptoms and look for the correlation and commonalities between the items you consumed for 2 weeks. Eat things you would normally eat every week and things you wouldn't and repeat the foods within the period. Log how you physically feel as well. Items that I suggest you eat are tomatoes, sauerkraut, parmesan cheese (not kraft), canned tuna, and mushrooms. Report your findings back to me.
The big 8 (but not necessarily your problem):Milk, Egg, Peanut, Other nuts, Seafood, Shellfish, Soy, Wheat.
If you still think you're allergic/susceptible to MSG and don't want to go through the effort of what I asked of you, you can test your original theory out by consuming a package of Ramen noodles prepared with the seasoning packet. There is more than enough MSG available in that little thing (even diluted in water) than Micky D's could possibly put in their foods. You'll know for sure.
