For anyone who has the Extreme Dimensions GT Concept rear bumper, did you install it yourself? ED told me there might be some minor modifications that needed to be made. And would someone be able to tell me how to remove the rear bumper?

Please take it to a proper shop for installation of an ED product. They are not very good. The shop will need to fabricate extra points in which to secure the bumper. Removal of the stock bumper is pretty easy. I am sure you do not want to remove the rear bumper until you are ready to put on the ED which will require a shop. so just let the shop remove your stock bumper.

Although your car is your creation, my advise would be to return your ED bumper and get Stillen corners. It is cheaper and will be a heck of a lot less headache in the end. Decision is only yours but this is my advice from my experience.

Interesting...I dont own any Stillen or ED products but I was under the impression that the consensus thought ED parts were much better fitment that Stillen? I do want those rear corners though...

Insurance is paying for it lol and I have a good shop so i'm gonna stick with the ED bumper. Just looks like ill have to leave the car there a little longer than I thought for fitment which is fine. The guy over at duraflexbodykits.com that I talked to said there's a good chance that it might not need any modifications anyway, just gonna have to wait and see.

As well, Extreme Dimensions actually updates their part designs and fitment specifications when needed, compared to Stillen who could care less about it.
Thats what I thought...

I am planning on the Stillen corners though, not sure how they could mess up fitment there.

What Ricko stated is exactly right... ask anyone on here that has had the ED GT concept rear bumper, including myself, and they will tell you that the fitment on the ED rear bunper is NOT perfect at all. NO one has ever gotten their bumper to fit perfectly... good, yes, but perfectly, HELL NO!!!! the fitment at the lights will be off a bit, and will not line up properly. Also, they don't really make use of the factory's snap on parts on the sides of the bumper, so you will be screwing things down in multiple places, which if not done properly, WILL cause stress fractures on this fiberglass-like product! (i know its not fiberglass, but I can't recall the exact name)

In regards to Stillen, if installed PROPERLY, their kits fit perfectly, but many folks just install them wrong!

But back to ED, a number of us that had the ED rear went back to the factory bumper!

We don't guarantee that our part will fit perfectly out of the box as that would create a world of problems for everyone in invlolved. The reason we don't guarantee fitment is that the part is a hand laid, hand trimmed piece so there are always going to be some variations between each part. Half the time OE parts don't even fit right out of the box and require some adjustments.

That being said, we stand behind every product we sell. If there are major fitment issues, we work with you to resolve the problem. We pride ourselves on our customer service, without excellent customer service, we would have never made it as far as we have.
