cut it so it fits. duraflex isn't really known for their fitment... they are known for being cheap... and they flex...

Maybe those holes aren't for the OE lights. Call them and see what they say.

Note the bowing in the front and the gaps everywhere. The quality is garbage. Unless you want to spend a fortune to have a professional modify it to fit right or can do it yourself I'd look elsewhere. As soon as we got the thing on my dad said screw it, not even worth the effort. It's been sitting in a box ever since.

everything is lineing up and fitting pretty good considering what it is. its just the turnsignal lights not fitting. thats a must have. but everything else is damn near where it should be

Do you see the way the front is bowed upwards? That would be extremely hard to fix. You can see the sides already leave a gap, if you force the sides out and back to relieve the bowing you'd create and even bigger gap. On top of that it's hard to tell from the picture, but the gap between the hood and the bumper at the top is over an inch. That would also be difficult to fix without messing up fitment elsewhere.

Their 'warranty' is pretty explicit that they refuse to take it back if it doesn't fit. You can't even send it back for damage unless you open it and look at it before the shipping guy leaves. Maybe I'll look back over it to see, but it's been a year. I'll sell it eventually.

EDIT: Terrible grammar.

anything with the "extreme dimensions" name on it is complete garbage, i used to do body work professionally and got to a point where i would refuse to use anything from the aforementioned company as it was cheaper to buy quality stuff that fit than charging the customers accordingly to modify their pieces to fit right.

you get what you pay for with aero kits unfortunatly haha ... id love to have a nice bodykit onb my s14...i just cant justify spending a thousand bucks ok somthing that will literally grenade if i hit a squirrel...if i had the cash after coils wheels etc. id get somthing decent like origin, uras, vertex, gp...and ive never owned any but i would think the version select copies arent bad fitment wise and are under 1000 shipped i think. anyone know the quality of VS kits?

I PM'd ED and asked them to visit this thread. If a bumper is all warped out of shape like the one above, well then you should be able to return it for a replacement (on their dollar IMO). Let's see what they say

I believe I have already spoken with the OP regarding this. I spoke with my product development director and found that this particular bumper requires the JDM S14 turns which are a bit shorter than the USDM turns.

In regards to your issue, Sycobob, I know it has been a year but if there is a major issue with a part, we're not going to leave you hanging in the wind. Did you purchase this directly through us or was it purchased through one of our distributors? If it was directly through us, please PM me your info so that I can look up your order and I can get in touch with you so we can get this handled for you.

I just emailed the paperwork and pictures they requested. The form says they need 48 hours to review it so I should have an update by Wed.

Alright, here's their response.
Hello Adam,

Have the body shop leave this bumper in the sun for a couple of hours. Urethane is memory injected so it will take back its original shape when heated. If that doesn't work we will consider replacing but this will save you the most amount of time. Let me know so we can try and move forward.

Thanks
I'm not sure how I'm going to respond yet. The problem is I've already had the car painted and I've spent money on the factory lip, those front fender valences or w/e you call em, and clear parking lights. So even if I got the kit to fit perfectly I'd have to drop a bunch more cash on painting it and I'd have wasted all the money I spent for the other stuff. On top of that my dad has the kit 5 hours away from me and I'm in the middle of finals so it'd be two weeks before I could even go test this out.

On the other hand, I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and work with them since they are actually trying to help me.

My dad wants me to tell them to give me a refund or I'll continue bashing their brand, but I'm usually a little more level headed than he is.

What do you all think?

Hmm that is kinda a pinch.. umm I say let them know your situation and then go for it. Or could be rude. And say "youre email may take up to 2 weeks to be fully reviewed." Lol jk don't do that.

you cant really do much about it. its been a long a** time, its not their problem you painted the car already and got a lip, know what im sayin? if i were you, id attempt to heat it but id ask for a replacement. everyone need an extra bumper or two right? right.
you get what you pay for, you know that...i am really impressed they had balls enough to post up here, help you out, give you some advice for the bend issue and possibly offer to replace it....after a year. the product is what it is, but thats a good move on their part with cooperating.

Eh, even their FAQ says they won't take it back after 5 days. I hadn't even test fitted it by then. I doubt it would have made much difference.

Sycobob I can understand why you would be upset. And now your in a pickle because the kit is 5 hours away from where you currently go to school plus you've done work on the car already and don't see a point in spending the money on repainting a new front end. We do stand behind our products. Alot of things have changed here at ED since you last made a purchase from us. I believe you are in contact with someone here already. If there is anything else I can assist you with please do not hesitate to ask. That goes for everyone! :grouphug:

Well after lots of emails and waiting, I'm happy to say Extreme Dimensions has followed through on their offer to help me out. I explained my situation to a customer service rep that goes by Victor, and he had me destroy the defective front bumper and provide pictures and I received a full refund. On top of that, he allowed me to return the rest of the body kit for a full refund as well. I wasn't even charged a restocking fee.

I am extremely grateful for the help they were able to provide, especially given the mistake I made by not contacting them immediately.
