I was tightening down my exhaust manifold nuts and one of the studs snapped insided the head. Any help on removing it? I've never used an easy out bolt extractor. I've read that they are brittle though and have a tendency to break as well.Should I try the left handed drill bit first?

Yes, try a left hand drill bit first.

I was impatient and got one out once by drilling three holes in a line into a stud stuck inside the head. Then I used a flathead screwdriver to get it out. But this took awhile. Try proper extractors first.

That's a good I idea speed. I had my motor out and I still could not get it. I tried LH drill bits and easy-out's. I drilled / tapped the hole bigger and used a bigger bolt. It's the one at the bottom by the fire-wall so you can't see it anyway.
