Do external wastegate's need to be dumped to atmosphere to work properly..??

Can dumping the wastegate back to the downpipe cause boost creep..??

no.

if it's rerouted into the downpipe like yours, it could be a prime suspect. i saw your setup on your cardomain site...that's damn near a 90 degree angle.

Where do u see a 90 degree angle in that dump return pipe..??The dump return pipe leaves the wastegate with ZERO angles, its a straight dead on shot to the downpipe..!!Unless ur talking where the actual gas pressure meets at the downpipe, then yes, once the gas pressure hits the downpipe, it then has to make a 90 degree turn down..!! But leaving the wasetgate, its a direct straight shot..!!
