external wastegaaaaaate?

I'm wondering, I haven't seen any exhaust manifold's that use the stock S14 T25/T28 turbo that have a port for an external wastegate. Does one even exist? or do you have do have an upgraded turbo to utilize an external wastegate?

t25's and t28's are internally wastegated only

Some people weld the internal flap shut on the t28's and have an external wastegate flange drilled and welded onto their manifolds.

Fullrace makes a prostock stock placement T2 flanged manifold with an external gate option.

As to the question can you make more power. Only if you have a large T2 flanged turbo like the older 2540r (gt25R), or .86 2871r would it really be beneficial. To me, if you are looking at anything like the 3071, which I guess they offer in a t2 interal gate, I would just get the t3 based unit.
