I was planning on installing an external transmission cooler to an Armada that is still under factory coverage, however I was informed that it would automatically void the warranty. Is that true? If so, does Nissan have an external transmission cooler to offer as an option that would still maintain warranty coverage?

From what I understand, there is no need at all for a transmission cooler on the Armada.

I know this is comming from way back but, if your Armada has the factory tow package you will not need to add a secondary transmission cooler. Nissan has done this already and it is bigger and better than any after market cooler than you could buy. I can't speak for the Armada that doesn't have the factory tow package however it will have a cooler built into the radiator as a primary cooler for sure.

As to voiding warranty if you add a cooler? Your dealer probably wouldn't (add a cooler) however if you took it to a qualified mechanic and had it installed, my understanding is it will not void the warranty! That may depend on the jurisdiction you live in though, check it out! This is coming from CA.
