External Fuel Pump???

I was wondering if there was a way to use an external fuel pump on the Q45??? Or maybe an intank pump without the fuel control box.

The reason I'm asking is I have 1994 Q45 that I am stripping down for parts for my VH45DE swap and when I started stripping the trunk, I noticed the fuel tank looked very similar to the fuel cell I was going to order. If I can use a fuel pump without needing to wire up the fuel pump control unit, then I can just use the tank for a fuel cell in my 240.
