exterior moulding removal?

well getting my car painted very soon, I was wondering if I have to take off the moulding, and if so do I have to but new ones or can I use my old ones and just glue them in.

is there a technique in taking them out??? heatgun or something? or just pull them off?

the ******* who had the car before me repainted the car, and he painted some parts of the moulding. and there is a ridge and paint build up on the moulding. is there a way to get the paint off?

pull off, carefully, u should take off the moulding, will save problems later, dandpaper, or a razor blade
