ok here is the deal. i have just installed a night vision camera and infrared fog lights for greater night vision viewing distance which is wired to my d3 and i have a switch so that i put it on rear view camera and i can switch between rear and front view... scenario for using this... its 2am im alone on the interstate doin 110 and i come up over a hill and pass a cop see him pull out/u turn so i kill the lights and turn on night vision mode and drive by my screen and catch the next exit to evade another ticket... now here is what i am trying to do to add on to this. i want to wire a kill switch for my brake lights tag light and head lights so that i dont have to try and brake from 110 to 30 with my e brake i can just kill all the lights and brake normal without being seen... i am looking for some help on how i would go about wiring a kill switch like this and what wires i would need to be looking for. i have an 08 altima coupe. and i know this is stupid and not safe blah blah i dont need anyone to tell me that. if you dont wanna help i dont wanna hear what you have to say. i dont condone doing this ever and i would never use it except in emergencies... with that said... someone please help

You could theoretically do this, however its HIGHLY unsafe and stupid.... for a variety of reasons legal and not...

But if one were so foolish to believe that they could evade police by using such a system, it IS possible to set up, but I think its more likely that the cop would find you wrapped around a pole because of lack of experience driving in the dark relying on a screen thats 4 inches big based off a cheap IR camera.

Again, no one is probably going to go thru the time to find all the right fuses for you, but if you take a look at the full service manual (something hosted here @ nico) you could find the right fuses to byypass, and then hook a switch to all them right by the fusebox.

Good luck!

The only type of person who would need a system like this for "emergencies" is a professional criminal. And the cops will view it that way too.

Keep it on the track and stop being a coke mule. That is all.

Its def in a movie, I believe its ferrari

But regardless of your position/moral view point..........

Its a pretty cool idea, and if you dont think its a cool idea.... your lying cause if you saw James Bond/ Batman do it... it would be pretty cool

Who wouldnt want to say they have nightvision on their car.... Its pretty badass. Needless to say Im a big fan and will be doing this to my car, not that Im going to use it as I live in DC area and would be impossible to use, but just to say I have it!!!!!!

well, i don't think that an in dash screen being used for night vision while driving is "cool"...

however! something that may be a little more practical is a real set of night vision goggles..

BUT!! what would be cool, is if you took the idea of 007, and instead of a mini-me screen, you had a windshield that had built in night vision for the whole thing

Nightvision googles would be cool....... but ony for me, if Im doing this I want other people to see it and be like whoa s***.......

Like I said chris Im an attention whore Im looking into the projection on the windshield technology right now. I have been directed to IR Leds.... Now I need Fog housing units, good quality nightvision camera, and this porjection screen on the windshield then everyone can refer to me as the while batmobile from then on....

i totally agree.. i know this setup would be blatantly illegal to use, but it would be awesome to have just to have it.. i probably wouldn't bother doing it to my car, but still, it's a cool idea
