So I just bought my 09 G37s coupe last weekend, and got a chance to review the 2 quotes of extended warranties. The first was given from the company my credit union uses (IWS) who seems to have awful reviews via consumerreports.com. They quoted me $1300 for a 36 month, 0 dollar deduct. /80k mileage.

The second quote was made by the finance manager at the dealership. It was higher (1800.00), with 60 months and 100k offered.

Neither was a direct Infiniti warranty, but for those prices, are they worth it? Has anyone used theirs?

Take a VERY close look at what is covered and what is not, Buying an extended warranty on a new car is foolish, but on an 09 "maybe" you might be OK - remember it's always a gamble. The warranty company is betting you'll pay them more than they will pay out. You are betting you will come out ahead. Guess who usually wins?

Thanks Starter. Not sure if it's kosher or not here to actually upload and post the contract they sent me.

When I purchased my 04 G35 with 44K on it, I bought an extended warranty thru my Nissan dealer. Was much cheaper.
I wanted some warranty just in case.....it was a 3 yr warranty.

Recently, I got another quote on an extended warranty from Nissan on a 2011 G37.
This one was basically bumper to bumper....can't find the paper.. but think it was 6 years /100K miles for $1,500.
And, if there was any repair that they could not do, they would pay Infiniti to do it.
I would check with Nissan. Or, I could give you my contact's name at my Modern Nissan of Lake Norman.

So, yes, it was worth it to me..peace of mind.....and I ended up using my extended warranty on my 04 to have the driver seat motor replaced and the A/C compressor replaced.

I had to decide on getting extension at 60,000. I passed on it. Only thing I've had problems with is brakes, and I believe they aren't covered. Have 112,900 now on my 2009 G37X, hoping for a couple more years.

THEN WHAT??? I'm not hearing good things about the 2014-15 G's.........
