Hello group,

I'm sorry if this addressed elsewhere, but I am getting ready to purchase the factory extended warranty, and I have heard, it doesn't matter what dealer you buy it from....I live in So. Cal. but I have heard people have gotten good deals from dealers from the east coast.....any help is appreciated

Cheers

Honestly I haven't looked into it. Check out some 3rd party warranty providers as well.

I passed on extending mine, and just crossed the 90,000 mark, so it would have been unnecessary for me. The price is negotiable, btw

If you get the Infiniti Elite Warranty Plan, it doesn't matter which dealer sells it to you, they all have to honor it. When I was looking at these a year ago, the best deals were being quoted by Courtney Mutema at Infiniti of Scottsdale, AZ. They have a dedicated web site for the plans:

Don't know if they still have the best deals.

As usual with all insurance, and that's what an extended warranty is, you're betting that you will need it and that it will pay you more than you have paid for it and the insurance company is betting that you won't. Guess who wins in the large majority of cases?

Insurance reduces an undefined and/or unacceptably large risk to a defined and acceptable one. You have to decide whether the value of that is worth what you pay for it. Certainly the total collected has to exceed the total paid out or it would not be a viable business model for insurers.
