extended warranty question

i bought a used 2010 versa 1.8 s with 1500 miles on it. I am interested in purchasing the longest extended warranty available as I plan on keeping this car till it drops and have learnt about a not so great reputation with reliability.

Can some direct me as to which company has the best extended warranty ? I heard there are companies out there that give a much better deal than Nissan itself.

any info is greatly appreciated.

I just got the 7 year extended warranty through Nissan Canada when I purchased the car. They offered it to me, along with free oil changes, and it didn't bring my payments up much higher. I liked it because it included the sound inhibitor, rush inhibitor, fabric and paint protection. I was going to go elsewhere for the rust protection, so I just figured I'd get it all done in one shot from the start.

I would wait to purchase an extended warranty until your existing bumper to bumper expires.

There's no reason to get one now as you already have a warranty.

A few weeks before the factory warranty expires, then shop around for an aftermarket extended warranty. Remember, warranties are negotiable.

Thanks for the advice. i do a tremendous amount of mileage and should have easily 36,000 within 18 months. im just curious if anyone has had problems with their extended warranties or shopped around for the best price. It would be good info for all of us here......Im trying to get the best deal on a warranty that covers all wear and tear items if there is such a thing.....
