Extended warranty question

Hi all,
I have an 09 Murano still under initial warranty. I was thinking of buying an extended warranty. My local dealership offered me a 6 yr/100k warranty (gold preferred plus) for around $1200 with a $50 deductible. But online, through Nissanextendedwarranty.com (Vaden Nissan in GA), they offered the same thing but $400 cheaper. The local dealer warned me that it was likely not legit, given that their pice was below cost for the dealer.

Does anyone have any experience with the online places who sell, apparently, Nissan factory backed warranties?

Thanks for the reply. I was a bit put off by the guy at my local dealer as well. I think I will go with Vaden.
