I have a 2004 LE Titan with 43,000+ miles on it that I bought new. It's been a great truck. Because I was not paying attention, I thought that it had a warranty up to 50K, but it's obviously 36K. Not much of a warranty for a $40K truck.

I recently brought it in for the 45K service, and mentioned that I had a problem with the passagners side floor getting we when the A/C was on. The dealer produced a "service bulletin" about this problem, and told me that it would cost $160 for parts and labor to fix it. To me, this should be a recall/warranty deal since it's a known problem.

Anyway, the service dude suggested going to the finance office and buying a Service Plus contract on the truck. I am sure they will hammer me big time for such a thing.

Anyway, does anyone here know the best way to get a good deal on a Nissan Security Plus warranty on a truck this far past the regular warranty? Is it worth it? I don't want some fly by night warranty, I will only consider the official NISSAN deal, if I get one.

What do you guys think?

THANKS

UNLESS its a genuine NISSAN warranty, dont do it! Just think about this, from now until 100k your probably not going to have many failures, so put that $1500 or more youd pay for a warranty away for future repairs...

There is ABOLUTELY no reason to purchase your exended warranty from the dealer. Theyhave thesame product available as the aftermarket warrnty companies.
