I'm on my way to spec'ing out a 2010 G37x and I had a question about Nissan Extended Service contracts. I like to get these as it makes private party resale a lot easier. They've also been useful when funny things happen the day after the standard warranty expires! In the past with Acuras, I've found dealers online willing to discount these and wanted to see if anyone knew of places that will do that with Nissans. I only want the "official" contract, not 3rd party. I'd like to have some research done before I start to negotiate with the dealer.

Thanks. Great forum

I am generally opposed to service contracts and usually decline them. However I decided to take the Infiniti Elite extended warranty which cost me $1950. They allowed me to pay for it over a 1 year period with no finance charge. High yes but I decided to take it because it covers items not covered under the standard warranty and I put on close to 30k miles a year. Probably on my next G I'll just set aside the two grand and take my chances.

I purchased a 3 yr extended warranty thru Nissan when I bought my used 04 G Coupe with 44K miles. IT was around $1,100....I think.

Used it once to have the AC compressor and driver's seat motor replaced.When our 08 G35X gets close to the end of it's factory warranty, I will consider getting one for it as well.

I don't believe that I would ever buy an extended warranty on a new car, would wait til later.....just me...

I always figured that it was less expensive to buy it when the car is new, but I may be wrong (as usual). I know that Lexus doesn't care as long as it's within the original warranty period. Maybe Nissan is the same. In that case it would definitely be worth waiting.

+++++++++++++

when i bought my G37x sedan back in October, they offered me one of the service/maintenance contracts at 40% off the regular price. It was the Elite 2 plan and I'm glad i did it. A little bit of maintenance "insurance" makes me feel better.

Hi,

I was recently in the market for a 2007 G35x which is my 5th Infiniti.

After getting the run around and much misinformation from Infiniti dealers in New Jersey, I stumbled upon Courtney who handles warranty sales at Infiniti of Scottsdale (Arizona). They are a sponsor on this site and she is a "gem." She helped me so much during my buying experience and they also offer the lowest priced extended service and maintenance contracts for Infiniti's that I have seen without lying or being pushy.

I would recommend that you contact Courtney by e mail or telephone and talk to her if you are interested in any of these plans. I have no connection at all to her dealership or to her but I assure you that you will get great service and pricing when you deal with her. Good luck!

Ditto on Courtney with IOS - we had a great experience with her last month! As long as the car is still in it's bumper to bumper warranty no inspection is required.
