Hello
I've been a member of this forum since 2015, but I've never been clear on what years make up the 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation of Rogues.

Is that defined somewhere? If not, can it be made a sticky perhaps.

THank you

Simply, the first was the old version bubble looking ones, you have the second. The third is the newest iteration 2020-21.

Gen2 is '14~'20. However, the gen1 continued to be produced until 2015 as the Rogue Select, so there's an overlap of two MY's.

Or put it this way:

1st gen: Ugly and very unattractive
2nd: Best looking Rogue gen to date
3rd gen: Looks like every other SUV in the market

Isn't it weird that they're all starting to look like Land Rovers? If they all start having slipped cylinder sleeves too, I'm gonna scream. :rotfl :rotfl

Only someone who doesn't own a 2021 would say the gen 2 is the best looking. Every review I have seen says the 2021 is much improved . I owned a 2015 and now the 2021 and it is hands down far nicer inside and out and a much nicer vehicle to drive. Check out the reviews on youtube and you will be hard pressed to see any that shares your opinion. The front end may not appeal to everyone but it was one of the things that I personally liked. The 2021 interior makes gen2 look cheap in comparison. Overall it is a pretty damn good looking vehicle.

I think any vehicle can be prettied-up or improved.

Personally, the first half dozen years I owned my 1st generation, I had a lot of people take a second glance, and many times come up to me in the parking lot and compliment my vehicle. A few discussions on my add-ons.

I made mine look off-road.

Some people don’t know what I drive, but still people at stop lights and on the street give approving responses.

I think the funniest one I heard was when a young African American lady said. “ That’s mothe*%#*^#¥ Ghostbusters”! :rotfl

Anyways, I get my fair share of compliments and ugly was never one of them.

I am sure any vehicle can be ugly when you don’t take pride in it; and just not caring for it which in turn may result in it looking crappy. :werd:
