I am at a loss to imagine the purpose of these wheel extensions. How can you be sure you have clearance on the motorway with another car in the lane next to you? How can you park this at the grocery shop and not get damage? Wait till you see what's in his trunk!

Without photos or at least some semi literate explanation of whatever you are ranting about, this posting is totally meaningless !!

If you want answers, meet us at least half way and be clear about just what your problem is !!

no purpose whatsoever except to "stunt". lowriders are cruising cars, not necessarily for the highway or grocery trips. all about being flashy and more noticeable than the last guy, hence the spinner thing extensions. kinda like the speed boat pinstriping and paint jobs with tons of flake. what was the purpose of spinning wheels in the early 2000's?

or i could be wrong and he's just hoping to run into the spyhunter on a two lane bridge to nowhere.

LOL. Those wheel reminded me of when jeremy Clarkson use a similar system on his home-made police interceptor. He tried to spear the wheels of a stolen car and ended up destroying his own car! Hilarious, typical Top Gear!

Thanks, James. I'll take a stab at explaining. It seems like an homage to the old Roman chariots that maim legs if driven by too closely like in the movie "Ben Hur". And given the "pimptastic" styling, I'm guessing those wheel covers might be called "Ben Ho's"?
