Looking for opinions on what to tune my AFRs for. Ive got a few opinions and just looking for more.

t3/t4 on a rb25. its tuned for 11.5-11.9 right now.

I would say you are in the ballpark...11.2 to 11.8 is what I like for safety. 12.0 is pushing it

It really depends on how your able to tune it, if your just using a SAFCII and adding boost then it's more octane dependent then anything.

With alcohol I was running 12.8 or so at peak power. But you just can't do that on 91 octane. So 12/1 would as lean as I would go especially here in AZ. It's just to hot.

There are bandaids for more timing and leaner mixes, water or alcohol both work very well. I'd use Methanol over alky, it's cheaper, about $3.50 Gal where denatured alky is $10 Gal. Water being free is always an option.

Are you running any type of knock detection? Thats a very good way to add timing or boost.

just the basics right now. safc and turbo

we tried to retard to 12-13 and increase boost, but there was just to much break-up up top.

ended up just tuning the 9psi stock spring and stock timing. this way, hopefully, itll be nice and stable for the next events.

just trying to get by right now till aem comes out
