I mean both, but I believe I should be able to find one for definetely under 5k and be able to use some of the difference in my own in the car. It was just a highest number, I'd hope go find one significantly cheaper if possible.scotty-2-forty wrote:Is that 5K budget including the price of the car or for additional experimentation?
I'll take that as a compliment lolsimmode1 wrote:Damn, I was expecting to see some terrible sh*t when I clicked those links, but those are really not bad at all! I'd grab that $3000 SR'd Zenki. It's been tastefully modded and even if it has problems, you'll have money left over to fix it.
Edit: On second thought... I bet that one is a scam. The price is waaaay too good for all that work.
you're leaning towards the black one in Stockbridge? (cl ad)scotty-2-forty wrote:I'd be more leary of the Craigslist ads as far as "scams" go.That 3K one is on Cars.com and lists the owner's name, phone and location. I'd like to see a picture of it. Personally though, I like that black one ... lots of mods (if you like them) ... these are little bonuses because it's their loss and your gain. But this really depends on your personal goals with the car, e.g. daily driver, hobby car, track, etc.
Well, call Rev Tech Racing and ask some questions since they apparently did the swap. I believe this is their link: http://www.revtechracing.com/main.htm This may help steer you in the right direction as far as more questions to ask the seller.oldboy95 wrote:you're leaning towards the black one in Stockbridge? the mods are in my taste, and it's my favorite so far. I was just concerned with the engine swap
thanks for all the help so far

I have some pics and he sent vids as well I just cannot put them on here since I'm on my iPhone. I can forward via email or mobile if you wouldn't mind scoping it out.
If it works out I'm gonna go test drive and look at it Friday
yea that's how I felt, like 46 is a bit too high.scotty-2-forty wrote:I think he's high on the price, but also consider the extras including the engine swap. These are negotiable terms from a starting point of what the actual base value is. Start with this:

... From there, add up the total of what the extras are and take a huge percentage off of that. He's trying to recoupe some loss on the "upgrades". I'd haggle with him, but at the same time show him you're a serious contender, but don't reveal any excitement.
Really, mod'd cars get to a point of how much you as the buyer are willing to spend ... in other words is the price fair to you with all that's been done. The vids are crappy, but his willingness to provide and his communication gives a warm/fuzzy feeling.oldboy95 wrote:I talked with him further and told him I felt 4600 was a bit high and he replied telling me good luck now, that it wasn't high at all but we can have our opinions.
lol well, I'll just let him hold on to it and see what happens.
It's fair saying Hes asking too much correct?
I understand the mods, but for one he didn't pay for them he bought it that way and there is several cosmetic things that will need attention soon.

Keep an eye here too ... nissan-for-sale.htmloldboy95 wrote:Also, if anyone has word on one for sale that fits what I'm looking for, send it this way. By all means I'm not stuck on that particular car. I'm in no rush and plan on finding the exact right one
