Alright so I have a '89 240 with 245K miles on it and I'm going to do a complete suspension overhaul, i.e. complete bushing set to include the rear subframe, and I'm also swapping out the stuts, strut mounts, etc. My question or expertise needed here is the coil springs, there's no way I'm going to keep them I mean after this much time and wear I'm sure metal fatigue has taken its toll. As such, I am stumped by finding stock/oem coil springs, preferably new, I want an improvement in ride quality for daily driving, no racing or drifting. I've done my fair share of looking at lowering or coil spings, and from what I gain from that, was lowering springs tend to wear out shocks quicker and could make for a more firm ride or harsh ride for daily driving. Wondering if I could put stock/oem springs from a Sentra or other Nissan model that would be similar to the ones on the 240. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as to option and brand anyone has had good experiences with other springs out there, thanks.

hey thanks for the link, any ideas for a cheaper alternative if available, for that price per spring I could get lowering springs or coil overs, but again just looking for day to day driving, thanks again

I haven't heard of other make/model springs fitting on 240s... and I wouldn't risk it either. You're best bet is to go OEM... otherwise, if you're going to spend money on new dampers, why not just get some aftermarket ones that can handle both OEM and lowering springs... i.e. Koni
