Hello all,

I thought I needed to write something about my outstanding experience with our 2013 AWD Rogue I post this small review below. (English is not my native languishes, I do my best and learn every day).

I posted my experience with a 2013 Rogue AWD actually on the Kelly Blue Book Consumer Reviews & Ratings section, because of the tremendous amount of nonsense and bashing.

I don’t know why so many people complain about this car, first of all for the ones that state that the Rogue has no pick-up and is a pig I wonder with which SUV they compare, if you like to go faster than 8.2 sec to 60 Mph you are in the BMW – Mercedes – Audi class and yes the Rogue does 8.2 sec to 60 which makes them the fastest in class.

The mountain problem, like many say the Rogue is slow in the mountains, hmm not so, a lot of drivers are used to 8 cylinder’s and of course with a V8 your only concern is push the throttle have the beast downshift and up you go.

Nissan approached this problem from a different angle and compensate this with a good amount of torque this is what you need, more than horsepower is torque if you move around in the hills plus a combination of electronics if used correctly the Rogue is a good performer in the mountains and is able to easy compete with all competition in its class.

What I read here and sorry to say is a lot of nonsense beyond comprehension; like I had to take the vehicle in to the dealership and they could not fix the Turbo (still slow – Bad vehicle and dealership), paleeeeeese.

Drivers say, oh to small (bad car – not for me), if I buy a car I know if the car is to small and if so I do not going to dish out 25 K – Other comments like; the visibility is bad would not buy again, test drive, yes test drive, come-on – why buying a car and then complain over issues you put yourself into.

Some others have Porsche expectations and moneys for a dinky-toy making the most noise, wake-up and smell the coffee.

The Rogue is not perfect, no car is. I have a good friend driving a 90 K BMW and he tells me this is an awesome driving car, expensive though in maintenance, lots of maintenance. I told him well a high maintenance lady is not inexpensive either all are great but they come with a price, no kidding.

I have tested the Rogue from city/highway, hills and mountains – Snow, gravel, and sand for 7000 miles and the vehicle passed the test with flying colors.

I strongly believe that today the Rogue is still amongst the best of the best in technological advancement and not behind the newer offerings from the competition.

One negative, a lot of these bad comments and complaints could be avoided if the dealership sales reps would explain the technology that the Rogue has onboard to compensate and provide excellent performance and good mileage, Nissan made a nice balanced vehicle with a bad manual not always clearly explaining how to use performance features combined.

One example on steep hills or mountains, take off the overdrive with a push of a button, simple, you can combine this feature with sport mode as well. Try it and you will feel the difference, believe you me.

CVT – Wow the sum of all fears invented many moons ago made commercially by DAF Holland 1958 and named the Variomatic, was reliable back then, has a different feeling driving the vehicle, granted Nissan had problems with the first generation and doubled the warranty on the transmission. Second Generation no problems, still a great warranty though.

I have driven many cars to make a living. I have nothing to do with Nissan or any affiliates in this respect.

In my humble opinion the Rogue is a nice vehicle and most important my wife loves the Rogue, ha-ha, yes Rogue; amazing.

End of rant – Good luck and be safe, should I say Rogue drivers.

:welcome: Thanks for the "rant". Really great post, and looking forward to more.

Don't worry about your language skills. As a guy I used to know from London once quipped, "I speak English, I understand American."

I manage to drive a lot of vehicles for my job(everything from the hybrid Ford escape to Chevy gasoline and diesel 1500-3500 model trucks and Subaru Impressas on occasion) and the Rogue does exceptionally well when compared to all of them. The Rogue by far, has the best driving experience and even gets better gas mileage then the POS Ford Escapes when the gasoline engine is on.
Haters gonna hate and they always will.
