Will be getting rid of the Potenzas on my 2004 Touring Z. Would like to get good handling tire with some wear life. I've got 18" rims.... Texas weather is typically hot and dry.... recommendations? Pilots, Goodyear GT...Jon In Keller

I've got Toyo Proxes 4 on my Z right now and love them. I will be switching to Falken FK452's soon due to the new wheels I got in. I'll let you know what I think of those as well.

Dunlop direzza star spec. If you have the money don't consider anything else.

Mine came with BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2 and I have nothing bad to say after 1500 miles.

I have Pirelli P Zero Rosso which are awesome tires. Look sexy as hell too. Anyone know how the Pirelli are compared to the Toyo or Dunlop?

I put a lot of miles on my Z and wanted a tire that had good treadlife and performance but wouldn't lighten my wallet too much. I currently run General Exclaims three seasons out of the year and have been very happy with them.

Got a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's. very smooth, fantastic traction in both wet and dry. Only about 5000 on them so I don't know how long they will last yet. They also have a really neat tread pattern, and are not all that expensive.

I put on the Falken Fk 452's yesterday and I have been driving them around today to kinda get a feel for them. The car seems more agile which isn't a big surprise as the tires I put on are wider than stock. Only complaint I have so far is I have noticed a bit more road noise than normal, but I'm hoping that will go away lol.

I was wondering which tires would give you the best traction at the drag strip? My OEM Potenzas break lose and then again spin when shifting into second. Any ideas? I saw some great posts in this thread about tires, but I'm still not sure which to go with.

Most high performance tires will be similar at the drag strip. If you are really having a problem breaking loose, then you will need wider tires, slicks, or some suspension work done.
