Experience of installing HID kit/A system called Lojack

So today, in this burning weather, I decided on installing HID kitby myself. After I put back the front bumper, I realized that I totally forgot to use the clip that holds the ballast and I already zipped the ballast on to the support beam. My altima coupe experts out there, DO YOU GUYS THINK THAT I SHOULD INSTALL IT AGAIN WITH USING THE CLIP? Or it will be still alright. I zipped in a very secured manner. PLEASE GUIDE ME! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This one is for Longbeach coupe a.k.a. brianI purchased an overlay about few weeks ago from Longbeach coupe andwe were talking about a system that I had in my car, Lojack. Lojack is basically like a buffing up the security for your car. It is said to be that if the distance between my key and the car get farther and farther, Lojack company will directly call me to find out where your car is going, and if I find out that my car got stolen, Lojack will get contact with nearest law enforcement to track down my car. (Lojack installed car has P.T.C. (POLICE TRACKING COMPUTER) inside of the car so that the company knows exactly where my car is heading to. The company uses all different kind of help from police cars to helicopters) On the other hand, because of the high security installed inside of the car, the car becomes very sensitive. For example, if you want take out the front bumper to upgrade your bumper, you must always discharge the battery first, so that the system won't make any alert noises. (they are VERY loud.) Check out Lojack.com for more info., but I got mine installed when I first purchased my 09 altima coupe. Hope my Information helped out. Have a wonderful week guys!

you do know that you dont have to take off the bumper right? all i did was turn my steering wheel to the side, unclip a few clips in the wheel well and easy access to the lights... i installed mine over a year ago but i think all i did was use the double sided tape to mount the balast.

Hey man... you can access them thru the wheel well, this is true... if its secure leave it.

I was also not talking about the lojack, i know what that is... but when you unlocked your doors, there was a chirp... you have an alarm... thats what I want to hear about because you only have ONE FOB on your keychain!

i installed my hid ballasts using the double sided tape and 4 zip ties per ballast. they've been installed for about 8 months with no problems, lets hope it stays that way. next time i remove my bumper i'm going to secure them a little better, but i still think they're fine the way they are.

The tape for my ballast (got HIDs from DDMTuning) came loose and the ballast is not secured anymore but only on the passenger side. I have the wires to either side of the ballast ziptied so it's not like the ballast is flailing around or anything. HID install is a lot easier with the bumper off if you are already used to taking the bumper on and off.

Like Ferguson (or his son I forgot) I can get the bumper off in a matter of a couple minutes.

Yay for LoJack, I got it on my coupe as well when my car was purchased

The chirp comes from the system of Lojack, and the FOB on my keychain. When I first purchased the car, I didn't have the chirp noises or the FOB, but after my installation of Lojack, a worker from nissan autoshop gave me the FOB and I also realized that my car started to make noises after the installation
