So I have a ca18, and I just put a new t25 on it from a redtop. For some reason it wouldnt fit onto my old mani, so I had a turbo sx one in my basement i used.

Everything is done until I go to put the turbo outlet on it (part that connects the turbo to the intercooler piping). It hits the manifold and wont bolt up properly. So I don't know wtf is going on with this turbo. I've had like 5 different turbos on a CA before and never had these problems. Are there different sized outlets out there or are they a one size fits all kinda deal?

If so I'm looking for something that doesnt just go straight up, but comes out a little further to clear the manifold. Need something asap, either that or need some advice cause I'm confused. Thanks guys, Peace

SR Turbo on a CA=gotta clock the turbo.

Ive put 3 SR turbos on my CA every single one needed to be clocked. I have used both Ca and SR inlets with little to no trouble.

s***.

What a headache. No wonder people go SR. I've had a CA for almost 2 years, so like 12 months of drivable weather...think ive driven it for 1 of those months.

i couldnt figure out how to PM you, so i guess i'll ask here..

what would you suggest for a step up from the stock T25, utilizing stock boost, tune and such.. ( i'm running a front mount as well as 3" exhaust)

as far as i was concerned, its a matter of loosening to 4-5 bolts or whatever on the back of the inducer housing, and clocking it to the desired angle, and re tighten? no? can somebody clear this up?

it's either that...or it might have a snap ring instead. If it does, just squeeze the snap ring slightly, and rotate the compressor housing slightly. Piece of cake, and only takes like 3-5 mins

I believe the snap ring is what does it on the t25's.

Have fun with that snap ring, its an awesome time f***in around with that. I reccomend having a second set of hands, it helped alot when i did it.

yeah...second set of hands helps. I used a big pair of needle noses...like 10 inches long, and squeezed the snap ring, and my buddy turned the comp housing. I tried doing it by myself and it's next to impossible. I even tried holding the turbo with my feet..didn't help
