exhaust wrap??

i have an rb25 so i would be wrapping the down pipe. but i want to know what people think of that exhaust wrap tape. even if your got a KA with headers, what do you think? whats everyones opinion?

I was curious about this too, I've heard it's a bad idea to wrap stainless headers because it makes them more prone to crack but I don't have any experience with it.

ive always wondered is there too hot? haha. i mean the concept makes sence, hotter EGT means the air is more dence and smaller in size so more moves through the pipe, but i want some opinions

it has been covered to death. I have experienced both wrapped and non-wrapped header cracking. I think its more by chance that it cracks or not.

try searching...and its HEADER not headerS, you only see one on there dont' you...

A good rule of thumb is to just wrap the section within the engine bay.

Realistically, your gains / benefits diminish beyond that.

Ceramic coat then wrap, its what I am doing now and mine are stainless.
