I am interested in getting an exhaust for my 92 240 and was thinking of going with the megan 3 inch on ebay. its like only $300 and seems like the best bang for the buck. I know im going to get yelled at for goin with a 3 inch exhaust, but im planning to do the rb25det swap within 5 months. Does any one have any experiance with this exhaust? Is there a resonator i would be able to buy to give me more back presure for this thing untill i get the motor swap done? I guess what im really asking is, is it going to suck having a 3 inch exhaust, or am i going to just loose a little low end and gain in the high rpms?

you will lose some but most people say you cant even tell with a 5 speed, and you will gain it back at top end, its worth it if you are swapping a rb, the KA has enough low end to spare anyway.

If its the "Megan Racing" one then yeah its got a resonator. I dont know how many cheap 3" exhausts there are on ebay. But I know that one does.

I saw some real cheap (140) all stainless exhaust from ssautochrome on e-bay. Was real cheap price, but never saw one up close. I had the BLITZ nurspecr on my car N/A and it wasnt that bad.

I have no clue about Megan Racing but it looks like a decent exhaust for the price. Especially considering it is stainless. Although if you have a stock KA or near stock you dont need a 3" exhaust. I suggest you try to find a 2.5" exhaust or go to the muffler shop and have them pipe one for you.

SO IF I WERE TO BUY THAT MEGAN RACING EXHAUST.. EVEN THOUGH I WOULD LOSE LOW END TORQUE I WOULD GAIN IT ALL BACK FORM HIGH END?JOE

high end (a large part of it) is determined by valves and cam grinds.. id imagine you'd lose more than you'd gain. 3inch is too much a 3L NA engine.
