Ca18det, Gt28R turbo, jwt ca16de tuned ecu, safc, greddy digital boost controller.Currently have 2.5" downpipe / catback with stock manifold and turbo extension. Stock s13 cat (probably clogged to hell tho) and im sure its bottlenecking the system.

I want to upgrade to a full 3" turbo back system, I want it to be as quiet as possible too.. I know 3" exhaust + quiet doesn't really exist, but I want it as quiet as I can get.

So far I'm looking to get a generic brand (Megan) SR turbo extension + flex downpipe. 3" Hi-flo cat (I want to run one just for legal reasons). Then get a 3" catback nice brand name dual tip exhaust.

Sr exhaust parts should work correct? Its just the angle of the turbo extension thats different and if i change it with a SR one the downpipe should fit correct?

I was thinking about getting a SS manifold, but what am I going to gain from this? Just some extra torque? I know they tend to crack, but thats usually due to flex from exhaust.. a flex pipe style downpipe should prevent this. But if stock manifold will work fine i'll just leave it.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for exhaust/downpipe/extension or other ways of going around with this upgrade?

hmm new pic of car, im pretty sure everyone here has seen it before.

all i have to say is dont buy any SSautochrome products, i hear megan is ok and if you want quiet maybe try finding a nice name brand catback with a resonator before the muffler. the cat will help too.

I've got an HKS hi-power 85mm exhaust, it's not dual tip, but its extremely quiet on my car. I've also got a resonated test pipe though, which I think helps. Also, I had an SSauto mani and a megan turbo extension and I had no problems at all with the downpipe lining up or hitting the frame rail. I also have both of those parts for sale as well if you're interested, hit up my email.

A resonator makes all the difference. The new SSauto catbacks have a resonator built into them now so I believe they are a lot quieter. I have the older version without the resonator and it is ridiculously loud. I plan to just have a resonator welded in though and that should take care of it.

From what AZHitman (Greg) has said, the SSAC catbacks are really poor quality....just like their manis. The packing material in the muffler is low quality and after a few years, it will break apart, making the muffler useless. I also run an HKS HiPower Silent Turbo model. 85mm piping at the cat, to 95mm after the resonator, to a 120mm tip (the biggest tip for the S13 BTW). Off boost, it is VERY deep and unusually quiet. On boost, it is a madman. I HIGHLY reccomend this exhaust. And at roughly $650-$700 shipped, it is a great price too. I also run a ProjectSilvia o2 housing, as well as their downpipe and testpipe. The combo of dp and tp runs $250 and the O2 housing was $175, but they discontinued it. It is a copy of the GReddy one, so I would reccomend the GReddy O2 housing.

Yes, you are correct in that the SR exhaust will work. BUT you must run SR O2 housing and SR downpipe. It WILL hit your frame rail, but that is the price you pay for not having to customize the exhaust.

And I DEMAND more pics of your car, but more importantly, of that white FC. Both are teh sexXorZ.

3" Flyn Dumppipe.3" test pipe, Apex N1 Single. My freind Dan (s14sx2nr) has Apex N1 Duals and they sound great. I don't really consider either loud, but I'm deaf too..

quiet exhaust = BRM 3" with resonator, 3" high flow cat, cheap ssautochrome downpipe cut with flex pipe welded in.

The BRM's are known to be a good sound and the resonator further muffles the sound. The catalytic convertor is an absolute must if you want quiet, and the flex pipe will lessen the vibrations on the ssac manifold if you chose to get it.

Caz got it. Greg will put in up to a 22" resonator if you want, and coupled with the cat and Magnaflow muffler, you'll be about as quiet as a straight through 3" can get while maintaining a subtle dual tip look.

I'm going to look into the HKS HiPower Silent Turbo model. It's not dual tip, but looks nice.

I'll probably stick with my stock manifold, get a SR 3" turbo ext (the O2 sensor for Ca fits in the sr turbo ext correct?) and get a 3" downpipe.

I hope i can chang the turbo extension without taking off the turbo/manifold, its such a ***** to do.

heres pics of the FC

BRM exhausts are teh sexx0rz!!! I would LOVE to have one.

And my Apex N1 Single is louder than I stated above. My fiance was driving it home from waxing it for me (not only does she wax my car, but she races car's too!) and I could hear her comeing from about 2 blocks away, and she was just driving normally.

yes YES! I have one and its almost stock quiet at idle. Cruising around town at low RPM it doesn't really sound like an aftermarket exhaust, but it gets pretty throaty at WOT and high rpm. I love it

My buddy has a full Blitz turbo back on his SR with Nur Spec R catback. It was the first swapped car I had ridden in, and the exhaust was too loud for my taste. But, his car was gutted behind the rear seats.....oh wait, so is mine.

Nur spec = cannisterRealize TT = full muffler (like an RSR exmag)

but yeah, the nur spec is loud as hell.

I know that Sean. Before I got my HKS, I ALMOST went for a Realize. I don't get why so many companies sell canister exhausts w/o resonators. My buddy has a URAS MM 3" catback and it sounds like crap on his SR.

I know YOU know Rico You probably know the part #'s are off the top of your head Mr. JDM! lol, I was just reiterating for anyone who didn't catch that you were talking about another Blitz exhaust...
