Exhaust too big?

I have some upgrades with the sr20det and a stock t25 turbo. I have a 3" downpipe and 3" straight back exhaust. I feel a little power difference when i have the silencer in. It seems to be a little faster when it in and when I take it out its just loud and doesn't feel faster. Does this sound right? Thanks for all your help.

Not really ... silencers will take away HP.

Placebo effect.

Maybe you THINK it sounds faster. The silencer is a huge restriction in the exhaust, so it takes away HP. Someone should dyno an exhaust w/ and w/o it installed.

What exhaust are you running?
