So one of the things that popped up on my cheap mod list is Exhaust Tips.
I don't really care to upgrade my entire exhaust at this point, but, boy that rusty looking pipe is ugly.
Do you guys recommend a specific cheap exhaust tip? Preferably a bolt on so I can install it myself.

I saw a couple on google for <50.00

I'm looking for maybe a double tip, Y-split type.

Thanks in advance!

are you referring to that tall coffee can + pipe ? or are you just trying to find something that will cover the piping bit

I went to good 'ol Canadian tire (terrible Canadian store) and paid like $25.

I cut my exhaust back about 2 inches so the tip wouldn't stick out so far. Also to minimize the Frankenstiene look, I used only one set screw.

Doesn't look as cheap as it is to me...

Yea, that's what I want. How did you install it? And is there a specific measurement I need?

edit:  I fail at reading. So it's like a clamp with a screw right? You just saw off the desirable length on the old one?

2 and a quarter inches is the diameter of the original. The tip basically overlaps the old one and adds about 4 inches in length. Since I didn't want an additional 4 inches sticking out I trimmed it. You may just want to not cut anything slide the tip to end end near the original, bit then you'd see it.

Got it. I guess I'll check my local shops before I order one to save on shipping. Hope I find a dual tip!

Silly question, but I dont know much about this kind of thing. Will changing the tip do anything sound-wise for it? Deeper throatier sound for example?

Nope, purely aesthetics. For sound you have to get a complete kit.

Know any places that make a decent kit for the R50s?

Can't remember where I bought it, but it was from an Autozone type of parts store. (Not Canadian Tire...LOL).

Looks nice! I definitely don't wanna spend more than 20 bucks for something that won't add performance. So I'll keep shopping around.
