Sold my other car, and with the extra money I think its time for a cat-back exhaust system. I've been looking around, and really don't want another super loud exhaust (my Prelude set off car alarms) and I'd like to keep it subtle in looks.

I did some searching and found the Borla cat-back duel exhaust and really like the look, plus the growl it produces but really haven't heard much about it on here. Anyone install this system on their sedan, and if so, whats your thoughts and opinions on it? What sort of hp/performance gains can be expected from the modification?

I'm always open to ideas, so if anyone has any suggestions or concerns I'd be happy to hear them, and hopefully Joe at everythingg35.com will be getting a call soon.

I've heard other users say that the borla exhaust uses too many parts and can have too many problems. I've got the stillen catback exhaust which comes with a y-pipe. nice sound and not too loud if you get the second version.

+1 for Stillen...

There should be exhaust soundclips in the Modification database thread if you take a look. Also, youtube always works well! Let us know what you decide

I've gone over every sound clip in the database probably 3-4 times each already, unfortuantly they're all for the coupe, which I'm assuming is a little different tone than the sedan. I'll look into the Stillen Gen 2 though as I've been hearing a lot about it. Is it a true dual exhaust on the sedan or does it incorporate an X or Y pipe?

I have the Borla cat-back system on my '04 coupe and absolutely love it. Nice growl. I had it installed at a shop near my house for $200 in less than two hours from drop-off to completion. I didn't want to deal with not having a lift and then the 'what if' in case a rattle here or there showed up later. The shop manager was certainly enamored with the system. He can't wait for me to come back so he can hear it now that it's broken in.

Well, after talking to Joe, checking out youtube.com and reading some reviews I decided to go with the Stillen cat-back system and put in my order.

Unfortuantly its on order from Stillen and it won't be here for almost 2 weeks! ARGH!!!

I went with the Gen 2 as it has the more subtle tone and won't annoy my neighbours every time I come home. Hopefully my neighbour will let me use his shop the weekend it comes in and I'll hopefully have some pre and post install pics to post.
